…than a baby with a mohawk? I love how it’s so pronounced that it even makes a shadow behind her. And we don’t even style it this way. It somehow manages to get in this position all by itself:-)

From Soulemama: “{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A single photo capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.”

Today while eating a picnic lunch outside, Oliver spotted a cardinal and shortly after asked me if I heard that robin. He can spot a jet stream so far up in the sky, I have to really quint to see when he’s pointing one out. And just now, while feeding Evie a snack in the kitchen, Oliver matter-of-factly told me “Mommy, your boobs are getting bigger!” Hmmm, the kid even notices the difference in mommy’s boobs the one day she’s wearing a normal bra because all of her sports bras are dirty. Nothing gets by this little boy, that’s for sure!

Yes, this is one happy girl!

Funny how Oliver knows the Mr. Rogers Neighborhood theme song and he’s never seen the show. I must sing it more than I realize
Like everyone else in Iowa, we’ve been spending most of our days outdoors this week!

And a Happy St. Patricks Day (and GO IOWA STATE!) to you.

What can I say, the kid loves having his hair gell’d, brushed, and looking “spiffy”.

This is the time each day when I can really see these two developing their relationship as siblings – when Evie wakes up from her morning nap, Oliver crawls into bed with her and they snuggle and laugh at each other. It’s so great, and one of those momma moments that leaves me pinching myself because I still can’t believe these two wonderful little people are mine
